Saturn rings will disappear by 2024!
Saturn, the sixth planet from the sun, it is the only planet having the stunning ring system composed of icy particles and dust. This gas giant is the second-largest in our solar system, boasting a distinct yellow hue due to ammonia crystals in its atmosphere. Its impressive ring system, encircling the planet, consists of numerous individual rings with captivating variations in size and brightness. But do you know these rings will disappear?
Shocking right?
And it's true, it'll disappear but not as you think. So let's take a look how it's going to happen -
Saturn is famous for its beautiful rings. Rocks, ice and dust particles orbiting Saturn form a total of twenty rings, of which seven are the main rings. Recently, the US space research center NASA said that by the year 2024, the relative position of Earth and Saturn will be such that the rings will not be visible to our eyes from Earth. They will be parallel to our eyes, like thin horizontal lines. Earlier in 2009 and 1996, Saturn's rings also apparently disappeared in this way.
